A clearly agreed scope.

TEP Roof refurbishes roofs for property owners, managers and developers. The starting points are the existing structure, identified damage and repair design. Work may involve renewing the roof covering or more extensive stripping and reconstruction of the roof. The existing covering alone does not determine the new solution. In occupied properties, we also define work areas, protection, access routes and periods critical to operations.

HOW THE WORK PROGRESSES

Establish the starting point

Gather existing plans, inspection and survey findings, and observations of damage. If the repair scope cannot yet be defined, agree what further investigation is needed.

Agree the repairs and delivery

Define the refurbishment scope, programme and site arrangements. The client receives a quotation for the agreed work.

Carry out the work and hand over

Refurbishment follows the agreed plan. Any changes needed during the work are reviewed with the client before additional work proceeds.

Separate the existing roof from the intended repairs.

Repair needs can remain undecided at this stage. The roof’s existing material is not a decision on the future build-up.

Location, roof area and use of the property during the work.
Existing roof build-up and previous repairs, where information is available.
Leak and damage observations, photographs, and inspection and survey reports.
Repair design or objectives, indicative programme and operational restrictions.

When should a roof be refurbished?

When local repairs no longer address the identified needs, broader refurbishment should be investigated. The decision is based on condition and survey findings, not age alone. If the repair requirements are still unclear, you can start by requesting a roof inspection.

Does the old roof covering always need to be removed?

Not always. The method depends on the structure, moisture condition and state of the covering. The suitability of an overlay must be assessed for the specific project before installation.

How is use of the property considered during the work?

Work stages, access routes and possible disruption are agreed during planning. Explain the building’s operations and restrictions in the request for quotation so that they can be considered in delivery.
