SCOPE OF WORK

What is included in a roofing contract?

TEP Roof delivers roofs for contractors and developers. The work is defined by the project design and division of contract responsibilities.

Roof covering and insulation

Roof covering to the design and the roof insulation work agreed in the contract.

Junctions and details

Waterproofing of penetrations and upstands. Supply responsibilities for flashings, roof outlets and roof safety equipment are agreed separately.

Inspections and handover

Agree inspections, documentation and the operating and maintenance information to be handed over to the client.

HOW THE WORK PROGRESSES

From project information to handover.

Define the contract scope

We review the project information, drawings and site programme. The quotation defines the scope of supply and work.

Carry out the work

We coordinate the stages with other contractors and construct the roof to the agreed plans.

Inspect and hand over

We review the completed work with the client and provide the agreed documents and maintenance instructions.

PREPARING THE CONTRACT

Rooftop services and work stages in one plan.

Production and logistics

Compile the roof zones, material lifting locations and milestones for other contractors. Also state when internal works or production equipment installation will start.

Retail properties

Review building services penetrations, maintenance routes and roof use. For refurbishment, identify restrictions related to customer traffic, deliveries and opening hours.

Information to confirm

Include roof build-ups, waterproofing plans and contract responsibilities in the request for quotation. Client-specific requirements are reviewed before product and installation choices.
